Bite-sized sessions on best practice in medicines optimisation

Beginning in Autumn 2021, BNSSG ICB’s Med-Op Team and BNSSG Training Hub collaborated to deliver a suite of Medicines Optimisation Training sessions. These sessions covered a range of clinical topics and were open to primary, community, social, and secondary care partners across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

Listed below is a list of all the sessions that were delivered and – if currently available – the recordings to watch these sessions back, on-demand.

Prescribing in Renal Impairment | 26.04.22

This session was delivered on Tuesday 26 April, 2022, by Sara Perkins and Robert Brown (Specialist Renal Pharmacists, North Bristol Trust). It explores the process of prescribing in relation to renal impairment, and touches on:

  • Post-AKI follow-up
  • Renal anaemia
  • Renal bone-mineral disease
  • Phosphate binders and potassium binders
